Training

Why training from me

I prepare specialised training tailored to client needs, focusing on financial regulation, fintech, compliance and cybersecurity in the context of financial services.

I do not train only from the perspective of theory or the bare text of the legislation.
Into my training I bring experience from the regulatory environment, supervisory and methodological practice, licensing projects and the practical operation of financial institutions and fintech companies.

As a result, I can explain not only what the rules say, but also where companies most often struggle in practice and how to design solutions that stand up both operationally and regulatorily. I draw on:

the combination of my education in EU law and commercial law with experience in financial market regulation,

experience from negotiating key EU legislation and supervising consumer protection at the Council of the EU and the Ministry of Industry and Trade from 2006 to 2010,

experience with financial regulation and supervision at the Czech National Bank from 2010 to 2022,

the overlap between regulatory theory, supervisory methodology and practical implementation in financial market companies.

Upcoming events

Alongside in-house training for companies, I also speak at professional conferences and workshops on current regulatory topics.
On this page you will find upcoming as well as past events.

Workshop: Cybersecurity in Banking

21 October 2026 – A hands-on workshop focused on cybersecurity and regulatory challenges in the banking environment.

Past events

Conference „Kyber bez keců"

21 May 2026 – An expert talk on cybersecurity in the regulatory context of financial services.

Workshop: Cybersecurity in Banking

2 June 2026 – A hands-on workshop focused on cybersecurity and regulatory challenges in the banking environment.

I also design training as tailored in-house workshops for a specific company, its business model, regulatory status and the level of readiness of its internal teams.

This can include not only the training itself, but also follow-up consulting support to translate the topics covered into internal rules, responsibilities, controls and specific implementation steps. And finally, I can add value through my degree in EU law and the fact that I genuinely work with it in practice.

Tailored training

Most requested topics:

Demand today is strongest for topics where new European regulation, practical implementation and the impact on the day-to-day operation of regulated entities meet. Below is a selection of the most requested ones.

The New AML Package

Training on the new AML framework helps management, compliance teams and control functions understand what is changing in the expectations placed on the internal AML/CFT system and how to translate the new requirements into everyday practice. My added value: I know the topic not only from consulting, but also from supervisory and inspection practice at the Czech National Bank. In the AML area, I took part in inspections of regulated entities and in the work of inspection teams whose findings fed into supervisory measures and published CNB decisions. I will help you keep track of new interpretations and implementing rules and prepare your internal AML/CFT policy system so that it is genuinely tailored to your business, processes and risks – not adopted as a universal template, which can never be the solution for a regulated entity.

The New Payments Framework: PSD3 and PSR

Training on PSD3 and PSR explains what the new framework may mean for payment service providers, their governance, processes, product set-up, compliance agenda and the management of ICT and cyber risks. My added value: I also know the topic from practice. I served in the management of a fintech company in the ČSOB group providing payment services and led its licensing proceedings to obtain a so-called large payment institution licence. At ČSOB, I worked on payments and the related risks, including cybercrime, as well as on preparations for PSD3 and PSR. The training therefore connects the new regulatory framework with its practical impact on the operation of a payment institution, its products, control mechanisms and preparation for regulatory change.

CCD2, Creditworthiness and Consumer Credit

Training on CCD2 and creditworthiness assessment explains not only the new regulatory requirements, but above all their practical impact on processes, scoring models, risk management, compliance and everyday decision-making in consumer lending. I will help you understand how to deal with creditworthiness as painlessly as possible and how to set up procedures that work for the business and are regulatorily defensible. My added value: At the Czech National Bank, I was present at the creation of the inspection methodology for creditworthiness assessment by consumer credit providers. I contributed to the rules on which supervisory practice and published CNB decisions in this area were built – as an inspector, lead methodologist and the first person responsible for this agenda; I led inspection teams or was part of them. I have worked on this topic for many years. I negotiated the original CCD directive with colleagues in the Council of the EU as a national expert for consumer legislation and subsequently contributed to its transposition into Czech law. I therefore know creditworthiness assessment from the European, legislative, supervisory and business perspectives.

Cybersecurity, DORA and ICT Governance

Financial market companies today often need a clear explanation of what the regulatory requirements on cyber resilience mean for management, compliance, risk and operational teams. This training can take the form of an introductory management workshop, specialised training for specific functions, or a follow-up project linked to the implementation of internal measures.
